Responsibilities & Experience:
Amélie has spent over 10 years working in international and higher education in the United States and Japan. Prior to joining GW, Amélie worked as an International Admissions Counselor at Ritsumeikan Asia Pacific University in Japan and led the implementation of Slate as a new admissions database system at that institution. At GW, Amélie advised master’s and doctoral students in the Columbian College of Arts and Sciences before joining the Office of International Programs (OIP) as Application Administrator. In this role, Amélie manages the GW Passport and GW CATS systems and is responsible for advising The Office for Study Abroad and OIP in all technical matters related to the management and application of these systems. University-wide, Amélie ensures accurate and accessible collection of the University’s international travel data and course transfer requests, provides technical support and training to students, faculty, and staff, and liaises between OIP and several other stakeholder departments.
Education:
Amélie holds a BA in Linguistics and Asian Studies from the University of Michigan, Ann Arbor.
