US Department of State Travel Advisories

The US Department of State (DoS) issues an overall Travel Advisory level for a country, but levels of advice may vary for specific locations or areas within a country.

In the below example, the DoS advises travelers to “Exercise increased caution” (Level 2) in Ecuador, but to “Reconsider travel” (Level 3) or “Do Not Travel” (Level 4) to particular areas within Ecuador.

Students are subject to the Planning GW Travel guidelines for the particular area/location to which they are traveling.
